North of the wall

There is the picturesque postcard in day Scotland and there is the stereotypical wet day in Scotland. Today is between the two, the day started with Alex heading out of Edinburgh in low lying mist and a fair bit of moisture in the air.  With all the Fred Whitton miles Alex has under his belt in miserable weather it is nothing but a very uneven road surface and poor visibility made going harder than anticipated especially descending.  Alex is riding as strong as ever however making progress a little slower than anticipated due to the weather.

Seemingly Alex is better at navigating than the team car as navigating on tiny white roads with a large scale road atlas we did have a little detour.
