Some shots of bits of bling that's been passing through my hands recently.

Backstory: I've had a 1980's little steel race frame ("Blue Steel") for some time. I bought it as a winter bike to take the heat off my Concorde for £40. It's an ex-customer build from a frame builder in Coventry. Ride wise, it's vicious. 50km is lively. 51km and she'll want to pitch you into the ditch. She rides like a thoroughbred race bike. It's been my "alt bike" for a number of years and stood in when other bikes were being fixed. Then it was mothballed for ages. During LEL2021, I was chatting with other riders about the love of old Campag components from the 1980's through to 1990's. I've always had the desire to have the frame redone properly, however quietly, when spotting wrong listing or bargin stuff on eBay, squirreled away a component or two. With the summer, LEL returning, option of making some space in the shed and hanging the bling, progress is slowly being made.
Now with 1980's Modolo brake levers, gorgeous shapely 3T quill stem, tactile Campy Record C down tube levers, and shiny Campy Chorus brakes and front and rear mechs, I now have a more authentic groupset to partner with my old Campagnolo Mexico rear wheel that took me to over 60mph in the Peaks as a kid.
I'm currently missing a suitable front wheel and chainset so will be testing with my old 105 Biopace chainrings and a spare Ultegra front wheel.
